We have our own private
two acre field to exercise the dogs
As well as going out on countryside walks we are lucky enough to have our own 2 acre plot of land to use for exercising dogs in our care. The field has been professionally fenced in with 5ft stock fencing and gates for the safety of the dogs.
We are in the process of planting trees, shrubs and hedging to make it more wildlife friendly and to increase the biodiversity of the land. There are several areas of grass that have been left to grow uncut to allow wildflowers to flourish and attract more butterflies and other insects.
The dogs love the freedom it gives them to run and play as they like in a safe and enclosed environment. Some dogs just like to mooch around and lay in the long grass while others love to chase the many tennis balls we have for them to play with. There are also shaded areas to keep cool in when the weather turns warm.
We use the field as an addition to our countryside walks and it's especially good for the dogs that are not usually allowed off lead on their walks. We love to see the enjoyment they get from being off lead and running around in literally acres of space.
